A global cyber outage has also affected several companies and institutions in Malaysia

According to Forbes, the outage today, 19 July, is linked to Crowdstrike, an American cybersecurity technology company.

The company ran an update and affected computers running Windows, causing them to crash and display the 'blue screen of death', a term used to describe a system crash.

The outage affected businesses and institutions worldwide, including airlines, banks, trains, telecoms, and stock exchanges.

The global cyber outage caused long queues at KLIA Terminal 2 today, 19 July.
