3 Women & A Man To Be Charged For Cooking On Gas Stoves At A Genting Petrol Station
Police denied that the individuals were children of any deputy ministers or VIPs.
Four individuals, three women and a man, are to be charged at the Bentong court in Pahang today, 21 May.
The four are part of a group that received backlash for cooking on gas stoves at a petrol station in Genting recently.
According to Bentong police chief Supt Zaiham Mohd Kahar, the four individuals are aged between 23 and 24. They will be charged under Section 336 of the Penal Code for endangering life or personal safety.
"None of them are children of any deputy ministers or VIPs," he said while responding to allegations on social media that two of the young adults were children of a deputy minister.

This comes after 15 individuals presented themselves at the Bentong district police headquarters to have their statements recorded
The group consisted of 10 men and five women, aged 23 to 28.
However, 11 were released on police bail to serve as witnesses after police recorded their statements regarding the cookout activity at the petrol station, where they used two portable burning stoves to cook instant noodles.
"[We] went to Genting and cooked instant noodles. [It] looks like we're opening stalls and doing business here," read the caption on a one-minute video of the group's cookout session on 13 May.
Meanwhile, Pahang police chief Datuk Yahaya Othman stated yesterday that the police are completing the investigation papers, which will be referred to the deputy public prosecutor for further instructions.
