Form 5 Student Collapses & Dies At School Cross-Country Run Finish Line
The teenager was said to be active in sports.
A Form Five student passed away after participating in a cross-country run at a secondary school in Sungai Petani, Kedah on Thursday morning, 27 February
According to Harian Metro, the victim, Muhammad Haziq Uzayr Hairuddin, 17, had reportedly completed the 6km run before collapsing at the finish line.
The teenager, who was said to be active in sports, caused panic when he lost consciousness and collapsed.

Kuala Muda district police chief ACP Wan Azharuddin Wan Ismail said the teacher on duty, along with members of the Red Crescent Society, immediately administered first aid to the victim
However, he did not respond.
An ambulance was called, and the student was taken to Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital in Sungai Petani but was pronounced dead en route.

The police chief said an interview with the victim's father revealed that his son was healthy and had no known medical conditions
"Checks also revealed that the victim's father had provided written consent allowing his child to participate in the sporting event," he said.
The police also confirmed that no criminal or foul play elements were involved in the incident.
The student's body was laid to rest at 11pm last night
According to Harian Metro, the body was first taken to the forensic department of Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Setar before being brought back to a mosque near his family home.
The cause of the student's sudden collapse was not disclosed.
Around 300 people attended the funeral, including the teenager's parents, family members, and school friends, who gathered to pay their final respects.
