From Auntie Anne's To Nando's: A Growing List Of Alice Chang's Antics Around Klang Valley

Alice Chang has gained notoriety in Malaysia recently

Malaysians first came to know of Alice when she uploaded photos and videos of herself, working at Auntie Anne's outlet in Mid Valley Megamall, playing with and kissing a piece of raw dough.

Following public outrage, the pretzel chain store issued a statement saying that her employment was terminated.

"We do not condone or tolerate any actions that compromise the highest standards of hygiene and safety for our customers and staff," read the statement by Auntie Anne's Malaysia earlier this month.

Since then, Alice has sought employment at several other food and beverage outlets in the Klang Valley

Not much is known about Alice or her motivations, except that she is the younger sister of Adeline Chang. The latter grabbed headlines in the past for allegedly scamming Grab drivers and kindhearted strangers.

Adeline gained infamy for ordering Grab rides but failing to pay the full fare. She has since been blacklisted by the e-hailing platform.

She later changed tactics by asking strangers to book rides on her behalf, employing the same modus operandi. While multiple police reports have been lodged against her, Adeline has denied the allegations.

The two sisters have since capitalised on their viral fame and have been invited to various TikTok livestreams, including to model wedding gowns, to a seafood restaurant, and collaborating with other influencers.

While Adeline has gone quiet, Alice has sparked controversy by actively posting about her employment at various F&B outlets in the Klang Valley.

After her stunt at the Auntie Anne's outlet went viral, Alice hid her identity to seek employment at other businesses. In one instance, she accused a fast food restaurant manager of sexually harassing her on her first day of work.

Alice's second victim was Cold Stone Creamery Malaysia

According to a statement released by the ice cream chain, Alice was not hired.

"She did not have access to the food. As part of our proactive measures, we have thoroughly cleaned the outlet," the statement read, stating that Alice had tried to hide her identity during the application process.

However, photos posted by Adeline on her Facebook account showed Alice seemingly working at the company's outlet in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur on 12 October.

Alice was subsequently spotted working at a McDonald's outlet

On her Instagram account, @alicechang_peien, Alice posted photos and videos of herself working at the fast food chain's SS2 outlet. However, McDonald's Malaysia has not issued a statement.

According to reports, Alice worked at the SS2 outlet for several hours before claiming that she was sexually harassed by the branch manager, who has since lodged a police report over the allegations.

In subsequent posts, Alice withdrew her claims.

And now, Nando's is the latest to fall victim to Alice's antics

In a multi-language statement released yesterday, 17 October, Nando's stated that while Alice secured a part-time job she was terminated the same day after the restaurant became aware of her previous work experiences.

The statement came hours after Alice had posted on Instagram. In the photos, Alice showed herself inside the kitchen and even showing chickens being prepared for cooking.

Apart from Alice's antics, several foodservice premises have been caught lacking basic food hygiene practices:
