Auntie Anne's Fires Staff Caught 'Making Out' With Dough In Viral Photos
The woman, identified as Alice Chang, had posted videos and photos online, saying she "loves her new job" while playing with and kissing raw dough in her hand.
Auntie Anne's Malaysia has fired a female staff employed at its Mid Valley Megamall outlet after videos and photos went viral, showing the woman playing with and kissing raw dough
In the statement on its social media pages yesterday, 8 October, the pretzel chain store stated that the staff member identified as Alice Chang, has been immediately terminated following the incident.
"We do not condone or tolerate any actions that compromise the highest standards of hygiene and safety for our customers and staff," read the statement from Auntie Anne's Malaysia.
The affected outlet has since been closed for disinfection
"The outlet will reopen once the disinfection process is completed and all necessary safety protocols are confirmed," it said while thanking its customers for their understanding and patience during this time.
Earlier, the woman, allegedly related to Adeline Chang, had posted videos and photos on social media, saying she "loves her new job"
While her post has since been removed, others downloaded and re-uploaded the content.
Her act led to backlash online, with people calling Auntie Anne's to fire "this girl immediately".
"She [is] ruin[ing] your reputation. She kiss[ed] the dough!!" said one uploader.
In an 18-second clip, Chang is seen playing with dough while pretending to kiss it.
In subsequent photos, she is seen sniffing the dough and then kissing it while facing the camera.
