Cop Who Threw A Party At Police Station Gets Transferred To Another State As Punishment
Three other supervising personnel have also been transferred out of Selangor.
The Royal Police Malaysia (PDRM) has taken disciplinary action against a police corporal who organised a party at a Shah Alam police station in late September by transferring him to another state
According to Bernama, three other supervising personnel — a sergeant, sergeant major, and inspector — were also transferred out of Selangor.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the decision was made after the corporal invited four civilians, including three women and a man, into the police station in the early hours of 28 September.
"In the so-called party incident, they listened to music and had some food. No civilians are allowed in office premises without official business," he said.
All four police officers have been removed from the criminal investigation department for violating standard operation procedures
Besides the corporal, Hussein said the other officers have been transferred to Johor and Kelantan, reported The Star.
The transfer was conducted in accordance with Rule 3C of the Public Officers Regulations (Conduct and Discipline) 1993, the New Straits Times quoted the state police chief as saying.
On 28 September, the police's Integrity and Standards Compliance (JIPS) unit raided a lounge area within a police station in Shah Alam after loud music was heard at 1.30am.
JJIPS officers found the room dimly lit, with no evidence of drugs or alcoholic beverages. Only various snacks, cakes, and energy drinks were discovered on the table.
