One of them was a grandmother who hadn't seen her family in Singapore for three long years.
When she finally reunited with them at Changi Airport, Singapore, she received no less than the welcome she deserved — red carpet, flowers, fanfare, and all.
In a touching video uploaded on Facebook by 8world News, a family of four is seen waiting for the grandmother's arrival at the airport.
In her young grandson's hands is a large bouquet of flowers, while her granddaughter holds a cardboard sign that reads, "Warmly welcoming our beloved grandma."
The red carpet is quickly adjusted to perfection by her son-in-law before the woman of the hour arrives.
The elderly woman is pushed into the arrival hall in a wheelchair. Upon seeing her family, she stands up to 'walk' the red carpet, before embracing them after three long years and waiting what must've felt like an eternity.
