JPJ Officer Dies In Accident While Chasing A Motorcyclist Who Escaped A Roadblock

Earlier this morning, 6 February, an officer of the Road Transport Department (JPJ) died in a road accident while he was chasing a motorcyclist who escaped a roadblock near the Gombak Toll Plaza
The 30-year-old victim, who was riding a Yamaha RXZ motorcycle, skidded and fell on the road before he was hit by a car from behind, according to Federal Territories JPJ director Mohd Zaki Ismail.
The officer was pronounced dead at the scene due to severe head injuries.
Mohd Zaki said that the body was sent to Selayang Hospital for an autopsy.

The suspect was riding a Yamaha 125Z and was chased for about five kilometres by the officer.
The victim was hit by a Toyota Vios.
The incident took place at the KM13 of the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2)
