[VIDEO] Man In Ipoh Destroys Property & Assaults People After Being Asked To Wear A Mask
The incident was captured on video, which showed the coffee shop owner and others confronting the man and beating him up using the stick that he had used earlier to trash the shop as he was pinned face down on the street.
A man destroyed the items including the cashier machine at a coffee shop in Ipoh Garden East. All because he was asked to wear a mask.
According to a post in a public Facebook group, the coffee shop owner reminded him to wear a face mask, a mandatory requirement in public spaces under the COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs).
The man refused to listen, following which other customers reprimanded him.
He then left the shop but returned soon after with a wooden stick and started smashing things inside the shop. Photos and videos show a damaged cash register, a broken temperature scanner among other items.

At which point, he is confronted by the public, leading to an altercation.
In another video of the incident, the coffee shop owner and others are seen beating him up using the stick that he had used earlier to trash the shop as he was pinned face down on the street.
A crowd of angry people beat the man continuously, with a butcher holding a cleaver also joining in.
He had, however, put down his cleaver before he land punches on the man.
The man has since been arrested for causing hurt and mischief
Police arrested the man after the coffee shop owner lodged a police report on the incident.
According to Ipoh district police chief Yahaya Hassan, a report was also lodged by the man's next-of-kin, claiming that he was assaulted in public. He has been placed in remand until 8 February.
Meanwhile, Yahaya advised the public not to take the law into their own hands.
