Kelana Jaya LRT Line Is Back In Service After Being Struck By Lightning
Lightning reportedly struck the Kerinchi station and triggered a technical glitch.
The Kelana Jaya Light Rail Transit (LRT) line is back in service after a suspected lightning strike caused a technical glitch yesterday afternoon, 29 November
Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd reported that the lightning struck at Kerinchi station and resulted in technical fault, which prevented trains from both directions from passing through the affected area.
"All trains passing through the area had to be manually controlled as a result of the inconvenience. This resulted in schedule delays and congestion at several platforms," the company said in the statement.
It added that technical staff were on site to carry out repair work.
