[VIDEO] UNIQLO's First Megastore In Malaysia Opens On 18 December
The building will only have UNIQLO and UNIQLO only.
While most businesses around the world have put a halt on expansions this year due to the economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, UNIQLO Malaysia has other plans
In a recent Facebook post, UNIQLO Malaysia announced that they will be opening the store on Friday, 18 December.
It will be situated at Damansara Avenue, a development that is surrounded by residential areas, schools, and office buildings.
The opening of the store was announced last month in conjunction with the Japanese fast fashion retailer's 10th anniversary in Malaysia, reported Malay Mail.
Based on the video, the brand's AIRism bedding collection will be sold at the 15,100sqft roadside store. Previously, the products were only exclusively available online.

The store will come equipped with ample parking space so that shoppers can get busy looking for clothes and AIRism products without wasting precious time
UNIQLO Malaysia and Singapore chief executive officer Yuki Yamada said over the past decade, the company has expanded and now runs 51 physical stores in shopping malls across 12 states.
Explaining how the new megastore will look like, Yamada said, "Our new store is carefully designed to ensure enough space and accessibility for all, including families with children, elderly people, and people with disability, and will feature its own carpark for our customers."
"Essentially, the new UNIQLO roadside store will serve as a close-to-home store for customers in Bandar Sri Damansara and surrounding townships, giving locals the chance to enjoy a quick and convenient trip to the store."

Malaysia will be the fifth country outside Japan to have this roadside concept store
According to Malay Mail, UNIQLO also has megastores in South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and the Philippines.
The company first opened a UNIQLO products-only concept store in 1985 in Japan.
