A man dressed in designer clothes stole a Rolex watch worth about RM64,000 from a second-hand luxury goods store in Subang Jaya, Selangor last Saturday, 23 November

According to Bernama, the man waited outside the shop as two female employees opened the premises in SS16 at 10.40am.

Subang Jaya district police chief ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said after entering the store, the suspect asked the employees several questions about the merchandise.

Suddenly, he rushed out, claiming he needed to pick his employer up.

China Press reported that he stole the Rolex watch while one of the employees was on a call.

The stolen item is a Rolex Datejust 36 Oystersteel and Yellow Gold.

Although the store did not have CCTV installed, one of the employees took a photo of the suspect with her phone, reported China Press.

The case is being investigated under Section 380 of the Penal Code for theft.
