[VIDEO] Masked Men Escape With RM349,000 In 5 Minutes After Blowing Up ATMs In Setia Alam

Early yesterday morning, 23 February, a group of three masked men, driving a Mitsubishi ASX, blew up two ATMs located inside a bank in Setia Alam and escaped with a whopping RM349,000 in cash
According to Shah Alam police chief ACP Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim, the police received a call about the robbery at around 6.48am, following which, a team rushed to the location to find two ATMs blown up.
Police found that of the two ATMs blown up, only one was successfully broken into.
"The suspects fled with the money that was still in the cartridge. Our probe identified three suspects who were seen entering the premises," he said, adding that they arrived in a white Mitsubishi ASX.
Videos circulating on social media show that it was an AmBank branch.
The robbers were reportedly in and out in just five minutes
During which, they blinded the closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras by spraying black paint.
In total, losses were estimated at RM409,000, including RM60,000 in damages to the two ATMs.
"The Bomb Disposal Unit and Post Ballistic Investigation called to the scene believe that the ATMs were blasted using gas pressure," Iqbal said in a statement, as reported by New Straits Times.
Investigations are underway to identify the suspects
"The case is classified under Sections 436 and 379 of the Penal Code. We urge those with information about this case to contact investigating officer ASP Mohammad Khairi at +6012-2666025," Iqbal said.
According to him, there were no signs of fire or casualties reported at the crime scene.
