Today, 23 February, a 15-year-old boy pleaded guilty to multiple counts of raping his younger sister, who gave birth to a baby boy last week

The accused made the plea in a closed-door proceeding before Magistrate Norshazwani Ishak at the Jelebu Magistrates' Court in Negeri Sembilan.

He did not contest the charges after they were read to him through an interpreter.

According to Harian Metro, the teenager was charged under Section 376B(1) of the Penal Code, which carries a jail term of between 10 and 30 years and whipping, upon conviction.

Section 376B covers incest.

On the first count, he was charged with raping his 14-year-old sister between 11pm and midnight at a house in Jempol, Negeri Sembilan, between 21 June and 30 June last year.

On the second count, the 15-year-old was charged with committing the same offence on the girl at about the same time and the same location between 1 September and 10 September.

The victim delivered the baby on Thursday, 16 February, in the bathroom of their family home, with the assistance of her mother

Magistrate Norshazwani allowed the accused to be released on RM4,000 bail pending a mention on 22 March for the submission of the probation report by the Social Welfare Department.

The accused has to report to the nearest police station on the first of every month, with the court ordering him to stay away from the victim and not to contact her in any manner.

The accused was unrepresented, while Insp Muhammad Nizam Rafii was prosecuting.
