The affected areas include:

– Perak
– Pahang
– Selangor

– Sabah: Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Nabawan, Tambunan, and Tongod
Only Kelantan and Terengganu will not be affected.
Prior to the 4pm statement, METMalaysia had also issued weather warnings for the same areas, but some of the warnings did not cover the entire state
The agency has issued eight such warnings today.
METMalaysia director-general Muhammad Helmi Abdullah also issued a statement today to inform Malaysians that the Northeast Monsoon season will start from 11 November and end in March 2024.
Four to six episodes of heavy rain are expected to occur in Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Johor, and western Sarawak during the early phase of the North East Monsoon from November to January 2024.
"However, if the monsoon rain is strong and at the same time there is a low-pressure weather system, continuous heavy rains can occur in other states in Malaysia.
"Continuous heavy rain for several days may result in flooding in the low-lying and flood-risk areas," Muhammad Helmi said.
He advised the public to prepare for the monsoon season and pay close attention to the information, advice, forecasts, and warnings issued by METMalaysia.
