Myvi Driver Investigated For Stopping At Emergency Lane & Causing Accident On SUKE Highway
The Myvi driver allegedly stopped in the emergency lane to take photos of the highway's scenic surroundings.
Ampang Jaya Police Department (IPD) is currently investigating an accident involving two vehicles that occurred on the Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated (SUKE) Expressway
According to a press statement released by Ampang Jaya district police chief ACP Mohamad Farouk Eshak, the accident occurred on Sunday, 18 September at approximately 2.45pm.
The statement detailed that the accident involved a Myvi car and a motorcycle, wherein the driver of Myvi was parked on the emergency lane of the SUKE Expressway leading to Kuala Lumpur to allegedly take photos of the scenic surroundings.
As the suspect was taking pictures, a motorcyclist crashed into the back of the Myvi, resulting in damage to both vehicles.
The motorcyclist sustained injuries on his right arm and below his right knee. He was taken to a hospital to receive treatment.

Ampang Jaya IPD is currently investigating the driver under road traffic laws 16 LN 166/59
If found guilty of obstructing traffic and causing the accident, the driver can receive a fine of up to RM300 for their carelessness on the road.
This has been the first accident recorded on the newly-opened SUKE Highway which was opened for public use on Friday, 16 September.
