Parents Under Investigation After Kids Were Found Playing On Windowsill Of High-Rise Condo
According to initial investigations, the parents were at home during the incident.
A couple is under police investigation after two children were caught on camera playing dangerously on the windowsill of a high-rise condominium in Taman Setapak, Kuala Lumpur
According to a statement today, 26 October, Wangsa Maju district police chief Supt Ashari Abu Salah said that the police noticed the video being circulated on social media yesterday afternoon, 25 October.
The 10-second video shows the children dancing and sitting on the outside of the window ledge while the person taking the video can be heard exclaiming with worry.
A team of officers from the Kuala Lumpur Sexual, Women, and Child Investigations Division (D11) were immediately dispatched to check on the scene.

Initial investigations found that the parents were at home during the incident
However, Ashari said the parents were not aware of what their children, a four-year-old girl and her two-year-old brother, were doing.
"The case is being investigated under Section 31(1) of the Child Act 2001," he said.
The provision deals with a child who is being neglected, abandoned, or exposed to danger by those who are responsible for the care of them. If found guilty, the offenders face a maximum fine of RM20,000, up to 10 years' imprisonment, or both.
The police chief also reminded parents not to leave their children unsupervised at all times as it could be considered a form of negligence
He added that the case will be referred to the deputy public prosecutor once the probe is completed.
"We urge those with information on the case to contact Wangsa Maju police headquarters at +603-92899222, the Kuala Lumpur police hotline at +603-21159999, or their nearest police station, to aid in investigations," he said.
