[VIDEO] Oil Spillage On Klang Road Causes At Least 3 Cars To Skid

A dashcam video showing three vehicles losing control after driving over an oil-spill-covered road in Klang, Selangor, has gone viral
In the 30-second dashcam footage recorded at 1.26am on 15 May, the driver swerves on Persiaran Tengku Ampuan Rahimah after driving over a dark patch, causing the vehicle to rotate 180 degrees and face the opposite traffic direction.
A multipurpose vehicle becomes the next victim of the slippery road, resulting in loss of control and a near-collision with the first vehicle.
The third vehicle, a sedan, crashes into the road divider and comes to a complete stop in the middle of the road after driving through the oil spillage.
The video has gone viral on Facebook, Instagram, and X. Many netizens have urged the police to investigate and apprehend the party responsible for causing the oil spillage.

In a statement today, 16 May, South Klang district police chief ACP Cha Hoong Fong said an investigation is underway to ascertain whether the incident involves elements of sabotage
One of the victims has filed a police report regarding the matter.
Cha said the case is currently being investigated under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959 for failure to exercise proper control over a vehicle's movements, reported the New Straits Times.
He also stated that the oil spillage has been cleared from the road and it is now safe for public use.
