Local Footballer Seen Brandishing Karambit After Fight Breaks Out During Match
A police report has been lodged against the footballer.
A local footballer appeared to brandish a karambit — a curved knife — after a fight broke out between two teams during a match on Sunday, 4 August, at the KLFA football centre in Desa Melawati
The footballer, who is said to be from local Farouk FT club, brought out "a sharp weapon" and pointed it at one of the players from the opposing team during the match at around 12.30am.
In photos shared on Facebook, the footballer brandishing the karambit was seen in a scuffle with another player, who managed to subdue him and pin him to the ground.

A police report has been lodged against the player
Wangsa Maju police chief ACP Mohamad Lazim Ismail said the police received a report from a 23-year-old man today, 5 August, reported the New Straits Times.
The case is being probed under Section 6(1) of the Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act 1958 for carrying offensive weapons in a public place.
"Efforts are underway to identify the suspect," he said, adding that no one was hurt in the scuffle.
