Malaysia's women's doubles pair, Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan, just defeated South Korea's reigning bronze medallists, Kim So-yeong and Kong Hee-yong, in the quarterfinals today, 1 August.
This victory marks the first time a Malaysian women's doubles pair has advanced to the semifinals in the Olympics.
