Hate Instagram's New Rectangular Grid? Here's How To Change It Back To Square
Because not everyone is into rectangles.

According to Instagram chief Adam Mosseri, the change was implemented to make the social media platform a "simpler, cleaner place that maintains, and even increases, creator control."
Naturally, not everyone took the change well.
If you're one of those in this camp (you're not alone, by the way), you can follow these steps to change Instagram's grid back to the old square format.
Here's how to switch Instagram's new rectangular grid back to the square format:
STEP 1: Open Instagram and go to your profile

STEP 4: Tap on 'Fit' to resize the grid and then tap on the blue tick at the top right corner

Here, you also have the option to select either a black or white background by tapping on 'Background'.
This solution comes with a downside: a white or black frame will accompany your re-adjusted square post.
Also, since the rollout of the rectangular grid is still in its testing phase, this option may no longer be available if you're reading this post in the future.
