Fight Erupts At Sports Toto Outlet As Punters Queue For RM121 Million Jackpot Tickets

A video of a brawl breaking out at a Sports Toto outlet in Klang, Selangor has gone viral on Facebook
The 20-second video shows two individuals punching a man clad in a white T-shirt, while a woman begs the group to stop. Another man is seen scolding and pointing his finger at the victim.
In a statement, North Klang district police chief S Vijaya Rao said his department received a report about the incident at 5.47pm on Saturday, 18 January.
Vijaya said four local men and one local woman were involved in the brawl caused by overcrowding while queuing to purchase lottery tickets at the premises.
The case is being investigated under Section 160 of the Penal Code for committing an affray. If convicted, the suspects could be jailed for up to six months, fined up to RM1,000, or both.
The fight occurred on the day Sports Toto recorded its highest jackpot prize of RM121.73 million for the Supreme 6/58 game on Saturday, leading to a lottery buying frenzy at many outlets nationwide
Long queues were seen outside Sports Toto outlets and the adjacent streets in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and other states.
Three lucky punters from Selangor each won RM34.9 million, while the remaining RM16.9 million was shared among multiple winners.
