11-Year-Old Malay Girl Wows Judges By Singing A Mandarin Song In Talent Competition

Judges were impressed by her mature voice.

11-year-old Fatimah Noryyah impressed judges when she competed on the 'Jungle Voice 2' in Taiwan on 23 August

Fatimah sang 'Can I Stay By Your Side', a Chinese song by popular Hong Kong Cantopop singer Eason Chan.

In contrast to the 'mouse' mask she was wearing, judges were fascinated with Fatimah's mature voice

Judges also pointed out that Fatimah's speaking voice sounded noticeably different from her singing voice

Her vocal coach explained that her speaking voice is lower because Mandarin is not her first language.

This is not the first time Fatimah has participated in a reality television show, as she was part of Let's Sing Kids in 2018

Other Malaysians participating in Jungle Voice 2 are Evange­line Wong (王艳薇), Ivy Lee (李艾薇) and Zhang Zi Qing (张子晴)

Fans can watch the show on Astro Astro AEC (channel 301) and Astro AEC HD (channel 306) every Saturday at 6pm.
