However, according to an exclusive by Entertainment Weekly, all major stars from the first film β including Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, plus director David Frankel and producer Wendy Finerman β are in talks to be part of the next film.
Disney has declined to comment further.
The story will reportedly follow Priestly, played by Meryl Streep, as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing. She faces off against Emily Blunt's character, a high-powered executive for a luxury group whose advertising dollars Priestly needs.
