'The Mole' On Netflix Was Filmed Entirely In Malaysia. Here Are Some Of The Places
The reality show is currently streaming on Netflix.
Seeing Malaysia shine on the big screen is always a proud moment — and one recent show on Netflix has captured that magic perfectly
The second season of The Mole, a reality show that's currently screening on Netflix, was filmed in various locations around Malaysia, including Tioman Island and Kuala Lumpur.
The reality show follows players competing for a prize pot, but one of them is secretly a saboteur, attempting to undermine missions and reduce the amount of money that goes to the winner.
After a successful first season filmed in Australia, the second season of The Mole was filmed entirely in Malaysia
In the show's trailer itself, you can spot the PETRONAS Twin Towers and Tioman Island.
Speaking to SAYS, a Tioman resident revealed that one of the The Mole's setups occurred at Monkey Bay last year, adding that the contestants were also spotted swimming at Tekek Beach.
Based on the first five episodes that have already been released, they also filmed at Forest City Johor, Port Klang, Sentul Depot, and napier grass fields in Peninsular Malaysia.
Apparently, the filming started in July 2023 and lasted for six weeks.
The high-stakes competition consists of 12 players who work together on a series of missions, testing their skills and endurance, to add money to a collective prize pot
But within the cast lies a saboteur, aka the Mole, who's secretly been tasked by the show's producers to undermine the players' efforts and keep the earnings as low as possible, all while staying under the radar and above suspicion.
