Malaysian comedian Nigel Ng, popularly known as Uncle Roger, has revealed his fiancé in his latest YouTube video
In the 17-minute video uploaded yesterday, 29 September, Ng introduced his fiancé to a crowd of fans who dressed like him at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
"Uncle Roger want to introduce some people important to me in my life.
"Give it up. This is Uncle Roger's mum," he said on stage after being awarded the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people dressed as Uncle Roger.
The YouTube sensation then introduced his partner as another important woman in his life, referring to her as "Nephew Nigel's new girlfriend and fiancé".
"Please welcome Sabrina. She pretty or not, she pretty or not?" the comedian asked in his usual comedic tone.
Ng rose to global fame in July 2020 after criticising a BBC Food host for her method of preparing rice.
Following the viral video, Ng's YouTube career skyrocketed, and he has since built a persona around critiquing people cooking Asian cuisine.
With 9.7 million subscribers on YouTube, Ng launched his first restaurant in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur on 11 September to share good fried rice with his fans.
The comedian frequently pokes fun at himself as a divorcee, often joking about his ex-wife, whom he refers to as Aunty Helen.
Officially introducing Sabrina as his significant other will probably change the way he jokes about being single.
Ng had previously teased his relationship after netizens captured photos of him holding hands with Sabrina on a subway
In May last year, photos of Ng holding hands with Sabrina went viral on XiaoHongShu, a Chinese social media platform.
Eight months later, in January this year, the comedian shared two photos on Instagram, tagging Sabrina, although her face was not clearly visible.
On Valentine's Day, 14 February, he shared another photo of Sabrina, this time revealing her face and calling her his Valentine.
Netizens captured photos of Ng holding Sabrina's hands in May last year.
