By now, many Malaysians are probably aware of the resident Oyen that has been living alongside a herd of capybaras at their enclosure in Zoo Negara

Making it official just last month, staff members at Zoo Negara erected a plaque underneath the sign of the enclosure to mark Oyen's residence in the pen.

However, it seems as though Oyen may not be the only cat moving into the enclosure.

Two days ago, cat lover Masyita Ahmad Shaza posted a video on her TikTok page after visiting the capybara enclosure at Zoo Negara. Panning the camera, she initially shows the many capybaras that are wandering around, including Oyen, casually sitting at the side of a structure within the pen.

To her surprise, Masyita then panned her camera to another cat sitting in the enclosure, just feet away from Oyen. White and brown in colour, the cat seemed to have been taking a nap, and later remaining calm and just chilling.

In a caption plastered across the screen, Masyita wrote, "Oyen is hurt that it has competition, and it's si ompok (the spotted one)," she jokingly called the white and brown cat.

Receiving more than 100,000 views at the time of writing, many Malaysians also expressed their shock towards seeing another cat residing in the capybara enclosure

Making jokes in the comments section, many TikTok users were commenting over how Zoo Negara should open a cat enclosure.

"If Zoo Negara plans to build a cat enclosure, we as the people would gladly contribute to it," kidded one person.

Some others joked over the idea that the capybaras should move out of the enclosure to make way for the cats.

"The capybaras are probably thinking like, 'Is this my area or is this for the cats? The more time goes on, the more cats arrive'," penned another user humorously.

However, there were also a couple of people who were joking about the newfound "competition" between the cats now that a new one has arrived.

"Is this an attempt to take away power from Oyen?" kidded one user, while another stated that the white and brown cat is Oyen's girlfriend, and that it brought the cat here to receive blessings from the capybaras.

Will we see more cats in the capybara enclosure at Zoo Negara? Only time will tell.
