Moo Deng, the celebrity baby pygmy hippo, "predicts" that Republican candidate Donald Trump will win the upcoming US presidential election today, 5 November
The Khao Kheow Open Zoo, where she resides, organised a light-hearted event yesterday, 4 November, where the hippo was invited to choose between Trump and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
And Moo Deng has chosen a candidate.
The zoo prepared two carved fruit baskets, with the names of the candidates engraved on watermelon rinds: Donald Trump and Kamala Harris

A video shows Moo Deng making her choice. She ate the fruits from the basket marked with Trump's name, while her mother ate from the basket marked with Harris' name.
A photo of Moo Deng eating from the Trump basket was shared by the zoo on X (formerly Twitter) and quickly went viral, garnering over 2.2 million views and thousands of requotes and likes.
Her choice received mixed reception from netizens, with some hilariously defending the young hippo's decision

The video shared by @n0namae shows that Moo Deng, following behind her mother, actually headed towards the fruit basket with Harris' name.
After standing behind her mother, who had already begun to eat from the Harris basket, for some time, Moo Deng eventually moves to the Trump basket and starts eating from it.
Jeng, jeng, jenggggg. So, what's her true pick? Only Moo Deng knows. :P
