Newlywed Couple Spend RM14,000 To Hire A Starbucks Truck For Their Wedding
All guests had a choice between two flavours of Starbucks drinks.
When it comes to one's wedding day, there's no cost too great to ensure that this special day becomes one to remember
And though most Malaysians may have a different idea in mind when thinking of drinks at a wedding, one newlywed couple from Klang put an intriguing spin on the concept.
In a TikTok that was posted by a friend of the couple, Syafika, the duo had organised to have a Starbucks truck just outside their wedding venue to serve guests some delicious drinks.
Lining up to get their own, many of the wedding guests can be seen crowding around the truck in the video, with Starbucks employees handing out drinks to them.
The newlyweds also came to grab their own beverages at one point in the video.
Going viral on the platform, the TikTok has since received over four million views and about 450,000 likes at the time of writing
Many TikTok users commented on how well the couple must be doing financially to afford a Starbucks truck at their wedding.
However, the vast majority of responders said they hope to be able to do the same for their own wedding at some point in the future.
"I want to work hard so I'm able to do this at my wedding," wrote one user.
Adding some light-hearted banter, multiple users stated that they would not be able to afford hiring a Starbucks truck at their wedding, and would instead have alternatives.
"When I get married, I think I'll call a MILO lorry, cause it'll still be delicious," joked one user, while another conveyed a similar sentiment in relation to orange juice.
However, one user asked a question that was on everyone's mind: how much did it cost to hire that Starbucks truck for the day?
Speaking to SAYS, Syafika mentioned that the couple paid RM14,000 to hire the Starbucks truck for their wedding day
Altogether, the Starbucks truck provided the couple 700 cups of drinks for their wedding, with guests having a choice between two flavours.
According to Syafika, there were an estimated 200 cups of Chocolate Cream Chip and 500 cups of Java Chip.
