Were you ever one of those kids who had dolls with ink stains on them?

Or if you're a mum, have you accidentally left your child with a marker or ballpoint pen and it resulted in something like this?

Well, according to Mr DIY, there just might be a way for you to effectively remove these ink marks

All you need is to squeeze some toothpaste onto the stained areas and use a cotton pad to wipe it until the marks are gone.

"Once done, clean it with water, and your kids can play with it comfortably!"

Although the tip was shared in a Facebook post last month, it's still trending until today with over 17,000 reactions and 631 shares. 

And of course, the Internet had to have a little fun with it. Some asked if the toothpaste tip could be applied to their own face.

On a serious note, though, if you need help removing these stains, you could also try making a paste with baking soda and water, then gently rub it onto the stain with an old toothbrush

HowtoAdult shares that this could work if a ballpoint pen or marker was used. But, it will not work if a permanent marker was involved.

Others have also suggested applying 10% benzoyl peroxide acne cream directly onto the stain and placing the doll in the sunlight for a couple of hours. Then rinse the cream off with water. And it should look clean again!
