Woman Grows Taugeh At Home During MCO Because Life Is All About Being Innovative Now
The bean sprouts grew in five days.
Many of us have found different ways of coping with everything that is going on right now
Some of you may have been practising your cooking skills, working out, or maybe just bumming around watching Netflix.
Yep, guilty as charged.
A Malaysian woman decided to use her time at home to grow taugeh, better known as bean sprouts within just five days
Mee Ho Chew revealed a step-by-step guide in a Facebook post on 2 April, which has already been shared over 11,000 times.
Here's what she did:
First, she soaked one and a half spoons of green taugeh beans for six hours in a plastic bottle of water
Then, she poured the water out and put a gauze over the nozzle.
According to Mothership, Chew explained to put the bottle away from sunlight and to only add water at night. After you have done that, pour out the excess water right after.
She wrote that this is how it will look like after one day:
After you have completed those steps on the first day, continue to water the beans three times a day with cold water.
You should then see the outer green shells start to crack open and bean sprouts begin to appear.
This is how hers looked like on the following days.

Day three:
Day four:
By day five, Chew had 600g worth of full-grown bean sprouts ready to eat!
She even cooked a meal to show her winnings.
