Whether it's chicken rice or pan mee, the accompaniment of soup as a side serving makes some dishes that much more delicious.

But drinking soup from a packet can sometimes be super inconvenient.

When deciding to takeaway soup-based dishes, it's almost expected that we'd have a bowl or some medium to transfer it to — but that isn't always the case. Luckily for us, one keen TikToker seems to have solved this issue with a quick stitch.

Referencing another TikTok posted by Thai user @jypsonathathai, one TikToker by the name of PP decided to try a method of drinking soup without spilling it everywhere.

In the 12-second clip, PP displayed a packet of soup at the corner of her polystyrene foam food container. Using a fork, PP poked the side of the packet before draining the soup through the small holes with a spoon. Innovative and practical, the soup flows out evenly without messing up the takeaway box.

Here's a quick snippet of that moment from @jypsonathathai's video:

The TikTok has since received about six million views and 200,000 likes at the time of writing, as many people chimed in with their thoughts over this method of drinking soup

In awe over this discovery, multiple individuals said how smart this method of drinking soup is.

"I'm today years old," said one user, while others said that PP is living in the future. Others couldn't help but crack jokes at the method, though it was all in light-hearted fun.

"This is for people who lived before bowls were invented," penned one commenter.

A few people, though praising PP for the method, still maintained being "Team Banjir", in other words preferring their food to be swimming in the soup rather than having it separately.

In response to the video, original poster @jypsonathathai also applauded PP for executing the poke and drain method successfully, though she did warn her about keeping the plastic bag clean when doing it.
