Tourist Spot In China Offers Slow-Motion Bungee Jumping For The Faint-Hearted
All the thrills without the spills.
If the thought of hurtling towards the ground at breakneck speeds makes you weak in the knees, you're not alone.
But, a tourist site in Anji County, located in the scenic eastern Zhejiang province of China, has just the solution for you!
This new slow-motion bungee jumping, also known as "timid jumping", was introduced at Yunshang Grassland Resort and caters to those who are hesitant to leap from great heights.
Instead of the intense free-fall that bungee enthusiasts are accustomed to, participants jump off from a 20 to 30m platform before they are slowly lowered towards a landing pad below.
This gentler form of bungee jumping quickly gained popularity among tourists, with plenty of challengers flocking to experience it for themselves
Videos of the new slow-mo bungee jumping made their rounds on social media, and the response has been mostly positive, with netizens taking interest in how "friendly" it is for those who are too scared to jump and first-time jumpers.
"This will definitely be better for business than the regular version, because there are too many timid people," a user quipped.
"This is good, it's suitable for people who have had enough of life but are afraid of death! Like me," another joked.
The unique experience has also sparked humourous observations, with one person noting, "After shouting, the person will still slowly descend. The fear will be gone, leaving only helpless embarrassment."
Meanwhile, plenty of faint-hearted netizens still aren't reassured by this innovative take on bungee jumping. One netizen shared that the scariest part about bungee jumping isn't jumping off the platform.
"What I'm afraid of is that the rope breaks. Isn't there a good solution for that?" they commented.
"Is there a 2.0 version of this? Remove the part where I need to jump and just lower me down slowly," another said."This is still quite scary for us cowards. I think other adrenaline pumping attractions like rollercoasters, pendulums, and banana boats should follow suit and prepare a cowardly version," one person suggested.
Head to Yushang Grassland Resort if you're curious to experience slow-motion bungee jumping while being surrounded by cloudy mountains
According to the resort, the entrance fee costs 180 yuan (approximately RM111) and you'll have access to others activities in the area, including grass skiing, walking across the sky steps, air biking, cliff-crossing, and more.
Plus, they also offer unlimited jumps once you've grown brave enough for "timid jumping". ;p
