Did you know that a total of 22,134 children in Malaysia were sexually abused between the years 2010 and 2017?

I wonder how many went unreported.

In late 2015, the Women's Centre for Change (WCC) of Penang, revealed that a woman is being raped in Malaysia, every 35 minutes. Most of the victims are girls below the age of 16.

I think I spent most of 2016 and 2017 writing news pieces on sex crimes against children.

It goes to show that we've got a long way to go in terms of keeping children safe and I'm sure as parents and guardians, it must be a nightmare trying to protect your children.
