KBU International College was founded in 1990 and was recently elevated to First City University College by the Ministry of Higher Education. Offering programmes in the field of business, engineering, computing, IT, design, hospitality, and foundation studies, First City UC is renowned for their affordable quality education.

2. You can watch a movie at the world's first Helipad Cinema

The HeliPad Cinema is a unique outdoor experience and the first of its kind! Found only in Bandar Utama, 10 classic films will be screened under the stars including '10 Things I Hate About You,' 'Pulp Fiction,' 'Fight Club,' and 'Mean Girls.'

3. There’s a Secret Sky Garden that's only open to public on weekends and public holidays

This 'Garden in the Sky' is rumoured to have been developed in secret for five years before being opened for public viewing. Located on the rooftop of 1 Utama, the Secret Garden occupies 30,000 sq ft, displays 600 species of rare and tropical plants, and is currently Southeast Asia's largest rooftop garden.

The landscape is stunning and just so unexpected. It's a great place to chill with friends, go on dates, take gorgeous photographs, and enjoy nature within the city.

4. 1 Utama is ranked the 8th largest shopping mall in the world

Previously ranked the 4th largest in the world, 1 Utama spans 5 million square feet and has over 700 outlets. Plus it's the only mall in Malaysia with four department stores and BOTH a TGV and a GSC cinema complex. Woot woot!

You can literally spend the whole day there and not get bored. From great food and shopping, to entertainment outlets like their bowling alley, arcade centre, indoor rainforest and more. Legit never a dull moment.

5. There's a scuba diving centre where you can become a certified diver

If you're already an avid diver, Sealantis is an official distributor of Scubapro in Malaysia. And if you're looking to pick up the skill for fun, this establishment is one of the best in the country, and it's located right in 1 Utama. They also operate a diving centre in Pulau Tioman. Nice!

9. Release tension with a baseball bat at the batting cages

Experience Southeast Asia's first automated baseball centre at It's A Hit! Batting Cages on the rooftop of 1 Utama. It's a great way to de-stress and have fun with friends. By adjusting the speed and height at which the ball is pitched, you can really enjoy swinging your bat and smacking that baseball as far as possible.

11. Scale the walls at Asia's largest climbing gym

Camp5 offers over 400 boulder, toprope and lead routes from beginner level to pro. Located in 1 Utama, this is Asia's largest climbing gym and it's absolutely breathtaking inside. Routes are changed every 3 to 6 months so there's always something new to challenge you. If you're worried about being a newbie, don't be. They offer lessons with trained professionals and allow you to rent equipment at very cheap rates.

12. Get around with ease using the new MRT

The Sungai Buloh - Kajang Line will have 31 stations, one of which will be at Bandar Utama. With the elevated station just a stone's throw away from 1 Utama, you'll be able to head to the mall without stressing over traffic and parking. And obviously the other stops on its route will only make traveling all the more easy for you!
