1. Pintu Wang Gunung Summit, Perlis

With an elevation of over 400m, Pintu Wang Gunung Summit is part of the Nakawan mountain range that forms a natural boundary between Thailand and Malaysia.

After climbing the hill, you'll be greeted with a gorgeous view of Thailand and the vast paddy landscape of Kangar. Make sure to hike early in the morning, so that it doesn't get too hot when you reach the peak.

2. Tasik Cermin, Perak

Just a 20-minute drive away from Ipoh, Tasik Cermin is a stunning hidden lake surrounded by limestone karst towers. While not recognised as a tourist attraction, the lake has received a lot of recognition for its beautiful limestone mountains and surrounding greenery.

To get to Tasik Cermin, you'll have to walk through a quarry, before arriving at a dark tunnel that will lead you to the lake.

3. Hounon Ridge Farm, Bundu Tuhan, Sabah

Located in Bundu Tuhan, about 21km away from Kinabalu Park, the farm is far away from the hustle and bustle of Kota Kinabalu. 

With spectacular views of Mount Kinabalu during the day, while also being able to stargaze with no light pollution at night, you'll definitely want to add this spot to your travel list.

The farm offers not only a dormitory, but also a large camping site, so you'll have the option to book a room or rent a camping site.

4. Kwai Chai Hong, Kuala Lumpur

While Kwai Chai Hong has now become a tourist attraction, it still remains a hidden gem that many Malaysians have yet to discover.

Located just a short walking distance away from Chinatown, Kwai Chai Hong is a beautiful street filled with colourful murals and eye-catching artworks. The street is also a hotspot for those who enjoy cafe hopping.

5. Gunung Mulu National Park, Sarawak

This rainforest in Sarawak is over 60 million years old, earning it the UNESCO World Heritage Site title.

Famous for its caves, clear waters, and extreme hikes, the park is truly a beautiful place for you to be one with nature, while also exploring the treasures it holds.

In fact, the park also offers a three-day hike that will take you to the Pinnacles, a beautiful site which showcases large grey and white stone structures that look like sharp spikes.

6. Pantai Senok, Kelantan

Known as the Nami Island of Malaysia, Pantai Senok is famous for its tall pine trees that are almost identical to the ones in South Korea.

According to The Malaysian Reserve, the pine trees were originally planted by the Kelantan Forestry Department to prevent coastal erosion and flooding. Over the years, as the pine trees grew taller, they also ended up becoming a nice, shady spot for the locals to chill and have a picnic.

7. Kapas Island, Terengganu

Kapas Island is one of Malaysia's most beautiful islands, and it's definitely a tourist attraction many Malaysians are familiar with.

But, did you know that there's a hiking trail on the island that will take you to the peak of the Lion Hill, which offers beautiful cliff and sea views? It'll make you feel like you're in Bali!

To get to the island, you'll have to hop on a 15-minute boat ride from Marang Jetty in Terengganu. The best time to visit the island is between March and October. The island is usually closed to the public from November to February because of monsoon season.
