1. KL Forest Eco Park, Kuala Lumpur
You don't need to go too far for a taste of nature. Take a canopy walk amidst the treetops in KL Forest Eco Park, which offers a tropical rainforest within the city. Plus, admission is free!
The nine-hectare park is home to over 200 tree species and wildlife, like the silver leaf monkey and long-tailed macaque. There are also many hiking trails to explore.

2. Bukit Tinggi, Pahang
Bukit Tinggi, now known as Berjaya Hills, is less than an hour away from KL. You'll be transported to Colmar Tropicale, a French-themed village modelled after the Alsace region in France.
Once there, you can enjoy a free shuttle bus at Colmar Tropicale to the Japanese-themed village nearby, where you'll find a beautiful Japanese Garden and Botanical Garden. There's even an Adventure Park there for adrenaline junkies.

3. Kuala Selangor, Selangor
Kuala Selangor is famed for its firefly watching experience along the Selangor River. As the sun sets, thousands of fireflies illuminate the mangroves.
During the day, you can take a tram ride up Bukit Melawati and explore the hilltop. Kota Melawati is an ancient fort, and home to the Kuala Selangor lighthouse that overlooks the coastline. Located in the same area is the Kuala Selangor Museum, which offers free admission.

Genting Premium Outlets is a great place to shop, and it's located right next to the Awana SkyWay Cable Car station! Other things to check out include onsen spas, ziplining, glamping, Gohtong Way, and the Ripley's Believe It or Not! Adventureland.

7. Morib Beach, Selangor
If you're tired of Port Dickson but need a dose of vitamin Sea, check out Morib Beach. Play on the golden sand, dip your feet into the water, and enjoy the serenity of the seaside.
During low tide, you can see the shore stretch for several miles into the Straits of Melaka, and you'll be able to spot clams and other shellfish. Many families go for day trips and spend their time kite-flying, rollerblading along the promenade, or having a picnic in the gazebos. There are also bike rentals and cafés in the area.
