In conjuction with the month of Zulhijjah, local charity organisation Aman Palestin is conducting their Ibadah Korban di Bumi Anbia campaign

The act of korban involves sacrificing animals such as sheep, cattle, and goats. This usually takes place during Eid al-Adha, or more commonly known as Hari Raya Haji, which is celebrated by Muslims worldwide.

As the poor and needy are one the groups that receive daging korban during this celebration, Aman Palestin wishes to give Malaysians the chance to experience performing ibadah korban for countries such as Palestine, Syria, and Yemen.

With this initiative, Muslims in Palestine, Syria, and Yemen will receive aid in the form of meat from the ibadah korban

As Muslims are taught to help other fellow human beings in accordance with the teachings of Islam, Aman Palestin understands this by extending aid to those in Middle East, as many are living in destitute conditions. For example, those living in Palestine, Syria, and Yemen are facing conditions of constant oppression and troubling living conditions.

This shows that the demand for food such as sacrificial meat is high, and they are in desperate need for constant help from other countries such as Malaysia.

Additionally, it is believed that through ibadah korban, Muslims are able to pursue fisabilillah jihad, which is an Arabic expression meaning "for the sake of Allah"

The concept of jihad is not only limited to the act of taking up arms. In the context of ibadah korban, it can also be viewed as a Muslim's efforts in providing basic food supply to those in need.

And of course, the act of performing ibadah korban for our Muslim brothers and sisters is seen as an act of solidarity. Not just by voicing our support, but also by doing everything within our means to assist them in their plight to protect the sanctity of Islam.

Muslims wanting to carry out ibadah korban for Palestinians, Syrians, and Yemenis may do so by choosing to donate different cuts of meat as follows:

Palestine
One part of cattle: RM2,300
One goat: RM2,300

Syria
One part of cattle: RM1,900
One goat: RM1,900

Yemen
One part of cattle: RM700

Frozen meat
One part of frozen cattle: RM750
