The 15th General Election (GE15) has passed and most of us have done our duties as Malaysian citizens.

While we wait for the results, here are five ways to remove the stubborn indelible ink from your finger:

1. Veet hair removal cream | RM6.40

Yes, who would've thought that using hair removal cream to remove the ink from your finger actually works? In a viral TikTok video, user @_namjhyk showed how to wash off the ink using hair removal cream and cleansing water.

All you need to do is rub a small amount of cream on your inked finger and wait for three minutes for the ink to fade off. Then, wash it off with any brand of cleansing water using a cotton pad.

You can buy it here.

2. Cleaning Block Foam Magic Sponge Eraser | RM0.34

This sponge eraser is good for removing tough stains. It can also remove the ink on your finger. To remove the stain, you'll need to soak the sponge in water and scrub your inked finger gently. You can add soap while scrubbing and then finish up by rinsing your finger with water.

If it feels tough on your skin, make sure to use a moisturising cream after.

This tough dishwashing liquid is also effective for ink removal. Just squeeze some amount of the dishwashing liquid onto a sponge and scrub your finger gently with lukewarm water. BRB, running to the kitchen to try this later.

4. Silkygirl Quikclean nail polish remover | RM9.45

Another way to remove the ink on your finger is by using the Silkygirl Quikclean nail polish remover. An ingredient present in the nail polish remover, which is acetone, can help dissolve the ink on your finger. However, do note that acetone may cause skin irritation if used too much.

The amount of acetone in the nail polish remover is lesser, thus gentler on the skin. You can use it by pouring a bit on a cotton swab and rubbing the inked finger. Then, rinse and repeat until the ink is gone. Finally, moisturise your finger.

You can buy it here.

5. IDEALCARE alcohol swabs | RM7

Alcohol swabs can also remove the stain on your finger. Since I have a few at home, I did try this out and it definitely works in getting some of the ink off.
