Indonesia's TransNusa has become the first airline to offer flights from Subang Airport to Jakarta Airport

The two-hour flight will be operated with TransNusa's A320 narrow-body airliner, which has a capacity of 174 seats.

Flight fares for this new service from Subang Airport start from RM299, offering travellers a budget-friendly way to explore the rich culture and bustling streets of Jakarta.

TransNusa's Group Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Bernard Francis reassured that the airline will continue its operations at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), maintaining three daily scheduled flights from Jakarta to KLIA and four weekly flights from Jakarta to Johor Bahru.

Besides TransNusa, Firefly also offers flights to other international destinations from Subang Airport

The budget airline operates flights to Phuket International Airport, Banda Aceh Airport, and Seletar Airport in Singapore.

Meanwhile, Transport Minister Anthony Loke recently announced plans to relaunch the Skypark Link, which ceased operations in February 2023 due to poor ridership

The Skypark Link was a 28-minute limited express train service that connected Subang Airport to KL Sentral. From KL Sentral, travellers could take either the KLIA Express or KLIA Transit to KLIA.

Loke said the service will be brought back once the new Subang terminal is completed in either 2027 or 2028, reported The Edge.

Loke also said that there won't be any midnight flights available at Subang Airport. Flights are subject to a curfew and can only operate between 6am and 10pm as the airport is surrounded by residential areas, according to The Star.

Starting 1 August, Subang Airport has began jet operations:
