The cute and funny ads will have you giggling!
Lazada has decided to do something different for its festive ads this Ramadan and Raya, opting for a hilarious vibe instead of emotional and heartwarming
In conjunction with its sales campaigns for Ramadan and Raya — Jualan Ramadan Fantastik (from 25 February to 5 March) and Jualan Raya Fantastik (from 8pm on 24 March to 6 April) — Lazada has come up with two ads that'll have you cracking up.
Turning the spotlight on what goes on behind the scenes of a typical production for this season, both ads feature a wannabe-thespian director and his long-suffering crew, who pull back the curtain on typical ads featuring glitzy musical numbers and celebrities.
At the same time, the brand shows how it isn't afraid to laugh at the promo-heavy nature of its usual ads.
In the Ramadan ad, veteran actress Nora Danish plays a homemaker doing housework, while taking on the challenge of delivering a script that tries to squeeze one too many sales messages into mere seconds.

As for the Raya ad, it features a director and crew trying their best to salvage a festive song-and-dance routine that's been disrupted by Lazada's lovable mascot, Lazzie, who has two left feet.

These tongue-in-cheek festive ads are both culturally relevant and executed memorably, with sales call-outs woven organically into the script
This has enabled Lazada to stay true to its character as an eCommerce company, while being relatable to Muslim consumers.
In fact, the Ramadan ad has since accumulated 20.5 million views across all channels, with a view through rate of 87% on YouTube! And the newly-launched Raya ad is sure to impress as well.
