On 27 June, L'Oréal Malaysia hosted their first-ever corporate showcase to reaffirm their commitment to 'Create the Beauty that Moves the World'
Founded in 1995 with the purpose of meeting Malaysians' beauty needs, L'Oréal Malaysia is an industry leader with 12 brands offering the most technologically advanced products in every beauty category.
They believe in and advocate for beauty to be inclusive, diverse, empowering, and responsible — and they act on this by bringing positive changes to individuals, communities, and the environment through company-wide and brand initiatives.
Tomas Hruska, Managing Director of L'Oréal Malaysia, said, "Our purpose is to create the beauty that moves the world because beauty is both an essential human need and an inclusive force.
"Through diversity & inclusion, women empowerment, responsibility, and innovation, we create beauty which is dynamic and beneficial to all. We have been doing so for over 20 years in Malaysia, and we remain as committed to effect more meaningful changes moving forward."
1. L'Oréal for the Future
This is the group's sustainability ambitions for 2030. In the context of growing environmental and social challenges, L'Oréal is accelerating their transformation towards a model respecting planetary boundaries, as well as reinforcing their commitments to both sustainability and inclusion.
This includes goals such as:
- By 2030, 100% of the plastics used in L'Oréal's product packaging will be from recycled or bio-based sources
- By 2030, L'Oréal will reduce its entire greenhouse gas emissions by 50% per finished product, compared to 2016
- By 2025, all of L'Oréal's sites will have achieved carbon neutrality by improving energy efficiency and using 100% renewable energy
