McDonald Next’s design is clearly impacted by the growth of modern, fast-casual chains. The restaurant is spacious, brightly lit with trendy lights, and covered in metallic surfaces. Customers order at what the company calls a “theater kitchen,” a glass counter that showcases ingredients.

Upon entering the establishment, you can order and customize your item through a touch-screen monitor.

Calling it “Create Your Taste” experiment, you can then pick up your food at the counter when it’s ready, or an employee will bring it to your seat.
