MSA Awards And Festival 2024 Wraps With A Bang! Here's A Look At Some Of The Highlights

In case you missed out, the MSA Festival and Awards 2024 took place last Friday, with a full day of knowledge sharing, culminating in an awards ceremony showcasing the best of Malaysia's media industry

Organised by the Malaysia Media Specialist Association (MSA), the festival and awards ceremony brought together over 1,000 attendees, including some of the brightest minds from the marketing, communications, and media community in Malaysia. Also present were clients, media professionals, tech pioneers, and industry sponsors, all gathered to explore the future of media.

This year's theme was 'Charting New Horizons', which began with a powerful keynote by Dr William Tan, a.k.a. the Singapore Paralympic Superman

His story of resilience and triumph struck a chord with the audience, while leaving a clear message for attendees: The future of media was not a script already written, but a canvas waiting to be painted with innovation, inclusivity, and boldness.

CelcomDigi deputy CEO Albern Murthy shared insights on how technology's rapid convergence was reshaping the landscape of marketing and media. Khairy Jamaluddin and Shahril Hamdan from Keluar Sekejap shared their perspectives on media communications, and influencer Khairul Aming, alongside other digital trendsetters, dissected the evolving role of content creators.

During the event, MSA president Sheila Shanmugam said, "The future isn't predetermined. It's an unwritten narrative awaiting our collective bravery."

Ultimately, the festival was not just a celebration of past achievements, but a launchpad for the industry's next great leap forward.

The award of the Grand Prix trophy went to 'Krupkrup Ayam Goreng McD by McDonalds' to OMD Malaysia, while the coveted title of Advertiser of the Year went to QSR Brands (M) Sdn Bhd.

Finally, Mindshare Group Malaysia won the Agency of the Year award, wrapping up the event with a bang!
