If you're planning a trip to Osaka, here's a list of six must-visit activities and attractions you can add to your itinerary:

1. Universal Studios Japan

Calling all Super Mario maniacs, Harry Potter fanatics, Minions enthusiasts, Sesame Street fans, and lovers of all things Universal Studios magic! If you're ready to embark on a blockbuster adventure that'll make your inner child scream with joy, consider visiting Universal Studios Japan.

This theme park caters to everyone, offering a wide range of rides that even grown-ups will love.

There are many sections to explore, which include The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Super Nintendo World Japan, and Minion Park, among others. With so much to see and do, you might need more than one day to experience it all!

Tip: We recommend getting the Express Pass as this will allow you to enjoy some of the rides without needing to queue for a long time.

Liber Hotel, which is located just one station away from the theme park, offers stunning views of Osaka Bay and the park's rollercoaster rides. The hotel also offers unlimited complimentary onsen and sauna services for guests.

Keep in mind that the park and hotel are slightly outside of the city area. If you'll be spending most of your time in the city, it might be more convenient to stay closer to where your activities are located.

You can book a ride on the limousine bus that will take you directly to Universal Studios Japan or other parts of the city from Kansai International Airport. There is also a train station nearby that will take you to the city area.

6. Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan

Located not far from Universal Studios is Osaka's world-renowned marine facility, one of the largest public aquariums in the world.

Designed in the shape of a giant whale shark, visitors follow a spiral path that descends through several levels of aquatic exhibits, showcasing marine life from different regions of the Pacific Rim.

One of the highlights of the aquarium is the Aqua Ring, a massive tank that houses several species of sharks, rays, and other sea creatures. An underwater tunnel allows visitors to walk through the tank and observe these majestic animals up close, surrounded by water on all sides.

BONUS: Nakazakicho

Unlike many other parts of Osaka that have been modernised, Nakazakicho retains a nostalgic atmosphere with its well-preserved traditional wooden houses, narrow streets, and quaint alleyways. Strolling through here is like taking a step back in time, offering a glimpse into Japan's past.

Take note that shops usually open from 11am to 5pm, and some close on Tuesday or Thursday.
