On 25 September, the Penang Island City Council (MBPP) kickstarted an upcycling project to redecorate Jesselton Pocket Park in George Town

Nine minions can be spotted 'sweeping' the pocket park. They were made using painted old tyres as well as other discarded objects and materials.

According to MBPP's Facebook, this project was carried out by staff members of the MBPP Urban Services Department and Landscape Department.

The upcycling and decoration of the pocket park was made possible by about 10 people from the MBPP during their free time

MBPP Urban Services Department deputy director Xavier Sebastian told The Star that a Special Action Force carried out this project.

The whole project was completed in one month as the staff members did this revamp after work hours and during their spare time.
