Here's How You Can Help Decide Which Artwork Gets Displayed On Buildings In KL
Only two final winners will be chosen.
The Cultural Economy Development Agency (CENDANA) and Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) recently announced that they're working together on a project called 'Art in the City'
'Art in the City' is an outdoor art display that aims to raise greater awareness on the Malaysian arts and culture landscape, and also to position KL as a cultural and creative city.
They encouraged local grassroots visual artists to be side by side with the nation's legendary artists to take part by submitting their artwork earlier this month.
'Art in the City' called for local artists to take part by submitting their artwork to be featured on buildings throughout KL
At the end of the submission period, 'Art in the City' received more than 700 submissions from both legendary and grassroots local artists.
And here's where you come in: which artworks will be used to uplift the visual imagery and vibrancy of the Kuala Lumpur skyline will be decided by your votes!
The 30 shortlisted artworks that was evaluated by the esteemed selection panel is now ready for voting.
From now until 20 April 2018, you'll get to be part of deciding just how much of a makeover our capital city gets. The top two of ten artworks of the 'Art in the City' project are going to be chosen based on the results of a public online voting.
