Here Are 4 Super Fun Workshops You Can Join At ROCK'N RIUH This December
From sign language to dance therapy, ROCK’N RIUH has plenty in store for you.

If you're looking for something to do with friends and family this December, you'll probably want to check out ROCK'N RIUH, which will take place at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit
This event will be the largest organised by RIUH in 2024, and will aim to wrap up the year in spectacular fashion with epic live performances, a dizzying array of food and drinks, immersive creative workshops, and timely advocacy strewn throughout three days.

As RIUH has always been about promoting creativity and nurturing talent, there will be 10 different creative workshops that will let you learn skills such as sign language, art therapy, lindy hop, and others.
1. Pick up basic sign language
The basic sign language workshop will be conducted by Deaf Inspire Centre, and will guide you through essential signs that can be used in real-life scenarios. The workshop will be facilitated by experienced instructors, so you’ll definitely gain some practical knowledge by the end of the session.
2. Level up your paper cutting skills and come up with intricate designs
Discover the art of paper cutting in a hands-on workshop delivered by James Han, where you'll create intricate designs using paper. Explore various techniques and patterns that emphasise precision and creativity. Aside from gaining some impressive artistic know-how, this calming and meditative workshop will soothe your soul and bring mindfulness to your day.
3. Learn how to craft and paint your very own wau
In the wau crafting workshop held by Nor Asmah, you’ll dive into the traditional art of creating Malaysian kites. You'll learn how to shape and assemble a wau, mastering techniques that celebrate craftsmanship and cultural appreciation. Discover the intricate design process and be part of preserving this iconic heritage craft.
Additionally, there will be a separate wau painting workshop by mat5artworks where you'll get to decorate your kite with traditional patterns and colours.
4. Learn how to use essential oils for better living
In this workshop by Craftiviti, you'll experience the benefits of aromatherapy firsthand. You'll create your own personalised inhaler using essential oils chosen for their calming, energising, or mood-boosting properties.
You'll also discover how aromatherapy promotes mental clarity, emotional balance, and relaxation, offering a portable solution for stress relief and overall well-being.
There are also other cool things to experience at ROCK'N RIUH, such as performances, bazaars, and exhibits focusing on mental health
Just like all major RIUH events, ROCK'N RIUH is set to showcase some of Malaysia's best creative talents on stage. At the same time, you can check out a wide selection of vendors and look through some inspiring exhibits, such as the colourful Batik Wall.
Throughout the three days, you'll be able to catch acts such as Midnight Fusic, Putri Dahlia, and the Malaysian Youth Philharmonic Orchestra as they wow the crowd, while there will be no less than 120 vendors that will be hawking their wares, whether be it food and drinks, arts and crafts, or clothes.
Also, don't miss out on exciting promotions, games, and activities from major brands and partners such as Cap Kapak, Maggi Syiok, Doublemint, and MDEC, who will be presenting opportunities for digital nomads in Malaysia through its attractive DE Rantau programme!
And last but not least, there will also be an art exhibit by Sepi that will help you get a better understanding of your mental wellness. This exhibit titled NYAWA will be guided by mental health professionals who will take you through the interactive segments and encourage you to explore your inner thoughts and emotions.
And while you're there, don't forget to take part in RIUH's 'Act Of kindness' feature
To encourage positivity and kindness among the community, ROCK'N RIUH will also have an 'Act of kindness' feature, where you can tell your loved ones why they're so great. All you have to do is fill out a Google form with details about that person, and it'll be read out to them after it gets reviewed by the event host.
