Malaysians Stunned After Shoppers Break Out Into Dance At Damansara Mall
They stopped in their tracks, frozen in time, then suddenly began dancing.
If you were hanging out at Tropicana Gardens Mall on 14 January, you may have seen a flash mob that was a pleasant surprise for passersby
People who seemed to be normal shoppers like everyone else were seen casually walking around, only to suddenly freeze when a catchy CNY song started playing. Then, during the last chorus, they broke into a group dance, which got the crowd cheering and grooving along to the music. Turns out, they were actual dancers posing as shoppers.
They were all dressed in cool, trendy street-style clothes, some even wearing red and orange outerwear to bring on the full Chinese New Year vibes. You could also tell that they were professional dancers as their dance moves were in sync with each other. Plus, they gave 100% of their energy into the dance moves to showcase the message of the song, which is to start being bold and be proud of how far you've come in life.
As you can see, passersby were totally caught off guard but began to smile and enjoy the performance as they realised what was going on.
Well, it turns out that the flashmob was a stunt by Tiger Beer Malaysia, held as a fun way to promote their CNY campaign, Cheers To Bold Beginnings
The song that the flashmob dancers were grooving to was Tiger Beer's new CNY song, The Boldest Chase, which was made in collaboration with three homegrown artists — Dato Maw, Han Xiiao Aii, and Danny Lee. Staying true to the festive season, they also introduced an MV with a bang, woohoo!

And, if you want to groove along to the catchy song, listen to it below:
Ultimately, with the song, the brand is calling on people to stop endlessly chasing after tomorrow, and instead, to use the festive season to celebrate the success that brought them to today. By freezing in their tracks during the flashmob, the dancers highlighted what's missing in modern society — the courage to stop and reflect on our unmarked moments of boldness.
Plus, many take the festive season as a time to recharge and spend some quality time with their loved ones, celebrating with a bottle of refreshing Tiger Beer or Tiger Crystal while shouting out 'yam seng'. <3
What's also cool about this song is that you'll be able to win amazing prizes like a Tiger Bowl Set, vouchers, and exclusive merch from Pestle and Mortar Clothing, just by going to their microsite and spotting the lucky tiger.
