This year, Hari Kebangsaan will be a little different, but that's not gonna dampen our Malaysian spirit or stop us from celebrating!

It's the first time we won't be having our annual Hari Kebangsaan parade. :'( And while most of us are still disappointed we won't get to celebrate it how we usually do, there are still lots of ways for us to get into the Malaysian spirit and celebrate our 63rd year of independence.

This year, Celcom will be giving you the chance to get a brand new Samsung Galaxy Note20 5G at only 63sen, along with all kinds of awesome promos! Read on to find out more about their undisputable Celcom 63Milang Deals (Gemilang Deals).

Here's how you can get excited for Hari Kebangsaan:

1. Decorate your home, office, and vehicles with the Jalur Gemilang

Nothing shouts Hari Kebangsaan more than Jalur Gemilang flags lined up along the streets and decking out Malaysian homes. Even without a parade or celebration events, you can still bring the Malaysian spirit wherever you are, whether it's your home or office.

You can even give your vehicle a Jalur Gemilang makeover. In fact, motorists in Kuantan will get to enjoy free parking throughout the week of Hari Kebangsaan just by displaying the Jalur Gemilang on their vehicles. All the more reason to bring out your Malaysian flags and put them on display!

2. Enjoy limited edition Hari Kebangsaan themed food

Whether it's nasi lemak burgers and pizzas, or roti ice cream and Jalur Gemilang cakes, you can satisfy your Malaysian appetite with all kinds of Hari Kebangsaan themed food this month. Check out our list of food promos you don't wanna miss this Hari Kebangsaan!

3. Make your own special dessert treats at home

There are all kinds of Hari Kebangsaan dessert treats that you can try making, from Jalur Gemilang agar-agar to cupcakes and dessert pies. Not only is it fun to make, it's great for sharing with friends and neighbours to spread the Malaysian spirit.

4. Belt out all your favourite patriotic songs

From the catchy chorus of Keranamu and the popular Saya Anak Malaysia, to the familiar Sejahtera Malaysia that's the last thing that plays on TV, nothing uplifts our Malaysian spirit more than belting out these patriotic songs. While we can't sing it all together, we can still lift our voices from our balconies and living rooms.

You can even bring the Malaysian cheer by singing or dancing along to Faizal Tahir's MALAYSIA song and upload yourself doing the #KitaBersama TikTok challenge!

5. Dress up and display the Malaysian spirit

Bring out your traditional costumes or your most patriotic red, white, yellow, and blue outfit to show off your love for Malaysia. <3 Better still, get the whole family involved for that perfect Insta-worthy shot!

6. Get creative with Hari Kebangsaan themed craft

One of the best ways to get your kids involved this Hari Kebangsaan is by creating arts and craft projects like Jalur Gemilang pinwheels. It's also a great bonding activity to do together with simple materials you can find at home.

7. Tune in to the royal address from the Yang di-Pertuan Agong

While we may not be having a parade this year, we'll be in for a treat because the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah will be giving a royal address to commemorate the 50th year of the Rukun Negara.

You can tune in to it on TV1 at 8am during Hari Kebangsaan, 31 August.

8. Take a well-deserved breather and enjoy your long weekend

What's nice about this year's Hari Kebangsaan is that it falls on a Monday, which means, looong weekend yayyy! Plan a staycation with friends, go for a hiking trip, or sleep in and enjoy a well-deserved breather - and look forward to the next public holiday on 16 September.

9. Make the most of all the deals and promotions this month

From food promos and discounts in the mall, to all kinds of online shopping deals, you won't want to miss the promotions happening throughout the Hari Kebangsaan month. Look out especially for super deals on Hari Kebangsaan itself to enjoy great savings!

Although we'll be celebrating it differently this year, there's still so much to love about Hari Kebangsaan and we're so excited for it <3
